Forests for the Future Project in Thailand
in 2007, FGPE launched the FF Project in Thailand in conjunction with the Billion Tree Campaign which UNEP started the same year. Also, the year was the 120th anniversary of Thailand - Japan diplomatic relations.
At these special occasions. Sirindhorn International Environmental Park Foundation (SIEP) under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn
and Thai Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment became partners of the project.
Since the official announcement at the press conference in Bangkok and the next year's official launch at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park in Cha-am (Petchaburi Province) with attendance of Her Royal Highness, tree planting activities have been continuously carried out with thousands of local participants.
